Solar Pakistan 2026 opens on April 17 at Expo Center Lahore, running through April 19. The exhibition covers photovoltaic systems, energy storage technology, and power electronics, and is the largest solar-focused trade show in Pakistan.

Market Background

According to Mordor Intelligence (January 2026), Pakistan's solar installed capacity is projected to rise from 7.95 GW in 2026 to 18.05 GW by 2031, at a CAGR of 17.82%. Commercial and industrial users currently account for approximately 51% of total capacity, led by textile and food-processing industries.

The primary demand driver is an ongoing electricity supply gap. As reported by ProPakistani on April 16, 2026, Pakistan's national power shortfall reached approximately 6,500 MW — with demand around 22,000 MW against available generation of roughly 15,400 MW — resulting in load shedding of 8 to 16 hours across multiple regions.

On the supply side, Chinese-manufactured solar modules have fallen to approximately USD 0.08 per watt as of 2025, positioning Pakistan as the third-largest import market for Chinese panels. Pakistan imported roughly 13 GW of solar modules in the first half of 2024 alone.

BMS in Pakistan's Storage Systems

Hybrid solar-plus-battery systems currently account for the largest share of new solar installations in Pakistan. The BMS is the critical component governing charge/discharge protection and cell balancing. Active Balance BMS and Active Balancer products extend battery cycle life and reduce total cost of ownership — addressing Pakistani end-users' priorities around reliability and value.
