This guide shows which battery, current, vehicle-load and braking parameters must be confirmed before selecting a lithium golf cart BMS.
Why Golf Cart BMS Selection Cannot Start with Voltage Alone
A request such as “I need a 48V golf cart BMS” is incomplete. Confirm the battery chemistry, exact series count, continuous current, peak-current profile, vehicle load and braking requirements before selecting the BMS.
Confirm Chemistry and Series Count
DALY's current public Golf Cart BMS page lists 15S-24S battery packs and support for Li-ion/NCM, LiFePO4 and LTO chemistries. The exact configuration still needs to match the pack design.

Size Current from the Battery-Side Load
Battery capacity and motor nameplate power do not directly determine the BMS current rating. Confirm the controller battery-current limit, sustained battery current, maximum peak current, peak duration, repetition frequency and thermal conditions.
Use the Verified Golf Cart Current Range as a Candidate Range
DALY's current public Golf Cart BMS page lists standard discharge-current options across 150A-500A. Choose within that range only after the actual battery-side current profile is known.

Confirm Braking Requirements Separately
DALY's golf cart solution includes a separate braking module. Do not select the braking setup from the BMS discharge-current rating alone. Provide the vehicle controller information and braking requirements so DALY can confirm the appropriate braking-module configuration for the project.
Confirm Monitoring and Accessories
The current project may require a mobile app, PC software, display, GPS, WiFi, buzzer or other accessories. Confirm availability for the exact BMS configuration before ordering; an accessory option does not automatically guarantee compatibility with a specific vehicle controller or protocol.
What to Send DALY
| Project input | What to provide |
|---|---|
| Battery | Chemistry, exact S count, nominal voltage, capacity |
| Current | Continuous current; peak current, duration and frequency |
| Vehicle | Controller model/battery-current limit, payload, hills and drive pattern |
| Braking | Vehicle braking/control requirement |
| Monitoring | Display, GPS, WiFi or other required functions |
| Commercial | Sample/pilot/production quantity |
Send these parameters to DALY. The technical team can recommend the suitable BMS current rating, confirm the braking-module and accessory requirements, and provide the matching datasheet and quotation.
Q1Can I choose a golf cart BMS from voltage alone?
No. Chemistry, S count, battery-side current, operating load and braking requirements must also be confirmed.
Q2Does a 100Ah golf cart battery need a 100A BMS?
Not necessarily. Capacity in Ah and BMS current rating are different parameters.
